Just some update

At the moment we have 88 participants coming from countries like Japan, Russia, Iceland, Serbie, Danmark, UK, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands. We still have 10 lovely ladies on the waiting list. If we all hase some men they also will be able to participate. Lets go for it.

We also need some people to help us decorate on Wednesday morning. So let us know if you can help.

Till dance,

Who is who?

If you look to the right you see the who is who directory. Now only P&P are displayed quite lonely. If you have a website or a blog or a flickr page, then add it to the list or send us the info or ask us to become editor and do it your self. It will be fun to get to know each other better allready.

Video clip and more

Yesterday we had a team meeting and were again full of ideas. We came up with some creation-workshops ideas for the first day. One group will be making a Tango video clip, another is going to do someting with giving and receiving feedback and another will learn more in a Tango laboratory. We are so excited.... if anybody has ideas about workshops it's is welcome. If we like it as much as you do, you could even lead that workshop yourself (if you want of course).

65 campers so far

So far about 65 people are visiting the camp. Just 3 kids, which I find a bit strange, because the camp is really a nice place to combine familly and Tango. But who knows what next weeks will bring. We are still looking for some single man for some ladies on our waitinglist.... and more dancers (and kids) are welcome. So feel free to promote the camp to dancers who like to smiule while dancing.

Taboe Volleyball

Taboe Volleyball

Yesterday a new idea was born (Christa & Jasper) as a nice kick-off game for the evening milonga’s: Taboe Volleyball. We, Paras and Paul, are well know for promoting a loose leg for the follower. So why not doing something useful with the leg. So let's play volleyball. So, if you want to become the Taboe Champ, you can already start to practice.

Taboe Teenagers

Hi, my name is Laura and I'm coming to Taboe Tango from Iceland with my 15 year old daughter Kinnat. I'd love to hear from other participants with teens or from young participants coming on their own. Among our interests are photography, design, social networking, art, crafts, and dance. Kinnat has tried a bit of tango with me, but is more interested in freestyle dance. I will be bringing a camera and laptop to the camp, and perhaps that is something I can share with this age group if they want to create something. I welcome your comments!

Our new motto?

A colleague of mine just gave me the right words:

“You need to share before you can multiply.”

And this is exactly what we are aiming at. At the camp, but also at this blog. So if you want to share something, please let us know. We can give you access as an author or we can post your message.

Think of your website, a poem, some thoughts, whishes or your excitement.

Let create together,

Paul

Tango whisperer

Inspired by the camp we already had a try-out with a new idea. During the last Taboe milonga we introduced the Tango whisperer. It was a strangely dressed man (Hans) who you could ask to pass a message to another dancer. If you like anonymous.

It was great to see that suddenly many women dared to ask those man they never trusted themselves to ask and visa versa. Many compliments where exchanged and even new relations seems to develop. Hi hi hi, it was again such a fun to make Tango more than just a dance.

Love to all

Paul
